You’ve probably heard of affiliate marketing before, but if you don’t know what it means or how to do it, you might be wondering why anyone would want to get into it in the first place. It turns out that affiliate marketing is one of the most beginner-friendly business models to start.

This can vary from company to company so it's important to read carefully before signing up for something like that if anything else does seem appealing about doing it for free.

Think about what you already use or like, and turn that into a product that can be sold. For example, if you enjoy cooking, consider writing a cookbook with all of your favorite recipes.

If you have some computer skills, become an online tech support advisor for other people who may need help with their computers.

Or maybe your hobby is knitting—sell your hand-knitted scarves and mittens on Etsy!

There are thousands of ways to make money from home if you just find something that interests you enough to want to learn how to do it in a way that works for both you and your customer base. An Internet connection and an idea is all it takes!

To get started, you’ll need a domain name, website hosting (see my playlist of Namecheap), and a merchant account with a payment processor like Stripe or PayPal. Then you can begin to set up your site(s) and focus on marketing yourself and setting up partnerships.

The sooner you start getting leads for affiliate offers, though, the better off you’ll be. Just remember that affiliate marketing does take some time to ramp up, so be patient as you build your business!

The truth is there really isn't any excuse not to give something like affiliate marketing a try today - after all, anyone can do it!
